Why was the study done?

The goal for this study was to improve ICBT courses for people from various cultural backgrounds so that they can receive culturally responsive mental health support.

What was done in the study?

We looked at past data and spoke with individuals who had taken the course. They then made changes to the course based on the feedback received. They also provided additional training to therapists to enhance their understanding and support for clients from diverse cultures.

What did we find out?

Participants’ feedback revealed that, while they generally liked the ICBT course, some areas could use improvement. These included suggestions to simplify and generalize the language in the course, incorporating more culturally relevant elements into the program, and providing additional support from therapists.

Where do we go from here?

Moving forward, the OTU will evaluate whether the changes made to the course were effective. They will also work on raising awareness about the course and continue refining it to better serve a wider range of people.
